 Building for the Event

  • Confirm date with Gatha
  • Schedule meeting place (restaurant, library, training room, continuing education room, university room, some book stores have conference rooms, etc)
  • Identify Organizations (Listing can be obtained from Chamber of Commerce):  1) professional,  2) civic,  3) religious,  4) chamber,  5) community,  6) small business development,  7) corporate (hospitals, task force, coalitions, etc),  8) other ___
  • Partner with an organization - you will provide the speaker free of charge and they will get the credit for bringing the speaker to the city (win-win)
  • Topic:  organizations either "Stepping Stones to Stress Management" or "Stepping Stones to Recruiting & Retaining in the 21st Century" or "Stepping Stones to Managing Volunteers";  religious groups "Stepping Stones to Christian Maturity" or a customized presentation to meet their needs
  • Media advertising:  this should be short, in the correct format, should be emailed and/or faxed (as per their request when you call), should include the following information (who, what, when, where) in the first line if possible (date, time, location -city/state-, meeting location, address of meeting place, seminar title, sponsoring organization, info concerning their mission, length of presentation - 9to10a.m.- speaker.
  • Advertisement Distribution (FREE) should include:  ALL newspapers, TV, radio, cable companies within a 50-100 miles radius, flyers for bulletin boards around the city (include workforce, government employees, grocery, salons, spas, etc), bookstores, library, superintendent of education, small business development, send copy of ALL organizations that are listed above.  Sample of FREE Seminar Flyer above.
  • Association/Organization - Professional Acquaintances - there is a list below.  You need contact person, phone# etc.  Religious organizations - you want to speak to the woman in their group who puts events together (from seminars to classes to showers to dinners to receptions).
  • Press Releases:  1)  One should be a story (details - see the Stress Management Article under Speaker - Trainer - Consultant);  2) Community Calendar - Examples below:
  • Press Release with photo of speaker and contact person in local city "after the event" (see Press Releases)
  • Posters for Event (20x30in.) – Order from Kevin Womack, ABC Printing, 903.753.8421, fax.903.757.2722; Kevin@abcprintinglongview.com; (2 different posters are available:  #1  Gatha, Dawn, Plastic Surgeon;  #2  1st time users 2 ladies/1 man (2 of the photos are in the FaceLift Presentation on the website).  Pricing:
        1 set of posters:  $45.00 each poster + tax/S&H
        2 or more sets:    $40.00 each poster + tax/S&H
  • Gatha Comes for Your Event?  Can’t fly with posters.  You have a set of posters for the event, one stationed in the lobby with a Note attached at bottom or top of easel “FaceLift Seminar – date & time).  The other poster can be beside the door as you enter the meeting room.  FREE advertising!
